Kids with Cancer Society's Community Impact

For over four decades, the Kids with Cancer Society has been a pillar of strength and support for children battling cancer and their families. Their 45-year commitment to providing programs and services to meet the emotional, clinical, and research needs of children, has made them “a beacon of light during a difficult journey”.  Unlike any other organization they offer financial support, educational support, counseling services, overnight accommodations for families travelling from out of town for treatment and special events for families to connect and create magical memories together. All at no cost to the families. The Kids with Cancer Society provides a lifeline for families facing a hard journey. Nordic is so proud to support and partner with Kids with Cancer Society and aid them in helping our community.

How Businesses and Partners Can Help

The Kids with Cancer Society simply couldn’t do what they do to support children diagnosed with cancer and their families, if it were not for the generous support of donors, volunteers and community minded businesses. As an organization that receives no government funding, they rely on support of the public to fund all of their programs and services.

As the Kids with Cancer Society continues its mission, there remains ample opportunity for other organizations to lend their support. Whether through financial donations, contributions of services, event sponsorships, or volunteerism, every act of kindness helps sustain and expand the society’s impact. Companies can also lend their support by participating in one of our many Fundraising events like The Beaded Journey Gala, Horsepower for Hope or Family Fundo.

The invitation is open, extending to all who wish to make a tangible difference in the lives of children battling cancer and their families. Together, we can ensure that no family faces the daunting challenges of childhood cancer alone.

One of the ways that Nordic helps is by donating maintenance support and services for their two facilities: Kids with Cancer Society Main House and, the overnight stay facility, Papa Ken’s House. “It is such a relief to know that we can call on the team at Nordic on a moments notice for any issues that arose up at our facilities and know they will be taken care of so quickly and professionally by the amazing team at Nordic.” – Chelsea Draeger, CEO at Kids with Cancer Society
