Dan grew up on a family farm east of Red Deer, where he developed a strong work ethic along with valuable skills in planning and problem-solving. After completing his post-secondary education, he pursued a career in photography before transitioning to the trades in 2007 as his family grew. He earned his Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification in Red Deer, and later obtained his Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification in Calgary. He was honored to receive the Dean’s Award from SAIT for leadership and academic excellence. Dan joined the Nordic Mechanical Red Deer service team in 2018 and was promoted to Lead Service Technician in 2023. He is currently working toward his Gas Fitter’s license.
Dan is passionate about ensuring that some of Red Deer’s most complex HVAC systems and buildings operate efficiently, providing comfort and peace of mind for clients. With strong roots in Red Deer, Dan has volunteered with local nonprofits in a variety of roles, from hands-on support to leadership and teaching—always willing to take on a challenge.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys reading and expanding his knowledge and skills, spending time with family and friends, and working on DIY projects in his garage. His favorite saying when visiting a tool store is: “Show me a tool I didn’t know existed that will make my work more efficient or higher quality, and I’ll buy it.”
